Schweizer SGS 1-26E
The "1-26" is mainly used by CSA to transition new solo students from the Solitaire to a single place sailplane. It's also a lot of fun to fly for other members. The club 1-26 is an E model. The significant difference to the D model is the full metal fuselage. In total there were 690 A, B, C, D and E model 1-26's built.
Important items to know. First the glider is very light and it must be tied down if outside of the hanger. A light wind will easily affect this sailplane. Do not leave this sailplane unattended. Secondly stay upwind of the gliderport; because this sailplane is light weight it will not penetrate into the wind very well.
